Noor Geurts graduated in 1990 from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Her quest in painting led to bright color schemes and transparency. Noor grew up in river country, polders and dune landscapes. Her work is tender, sensitive but also radiates robustness, in which the ever-changing light in the openness and vastness of the landscape in her immediate surroundings plays a determining role. Geurts‘ work focuses on organic forms in landscape environments. Her paintings straddle the border between figuration and abstraction.
Noor Geurts exhibits her work both at home and abroad. Exhibitions between 2020 and 2024 include: KunstRai Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Hilton Hotel Antwerp and Hilton Hotel Düsseldorf, Flower Art Museum, Galerie SousTerre, Gallery Rozendaal, AAF Brussels and AAF Amsterdam and Triënnale Cobra Museum
